This plate was handpainted by my great aunt. It is so beautiful it needed to be photographed and shared. Ceramic painting was very big in the 1920's when this was painted. It is a beautiful image for a wall or a greeting card!

EDUCATION: Graduated from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1981 and a Bachelor of Education in 1984. Wood sculpture and photography were her media of choice. Yes, I never met her but had the delight of "meeting" her through letters, photos, pottery , and her art in London last summer as I cleared out the four generation family home... I wish I had known her personally. Her art will have to suffice:)
