Description
The Minchenden oak or Chandos Oak was believed to be the largest oak in England in the 19th century. It has stood for up to 800 years. It was wonderful to walk around it. About 10 feet up is a disc of concrete surrounded by a large knot in the tree. This tree stands in a lovely little park in Southgate, London.
